Jenette’s work usually relates to the female form, expressing the emotions experienced in colour, facial and body expression. With a limited palette and intelligent handling of light she creates evocative impassioned images.
She was inspired by artists she met in her childhood as she wandered the lanes around John Opie’s cottage and watched and listened to Peter Lanion flying over her father’s fields at St Agness.
Jenette studied at UCAD in the early 70's.
She was tutored in painting by Niel Shawcross and pottery by David Leech.
Her work is held in many private collections in the UK, USA, Europe and Japan. Jenette and her work has also been featured on UK television.
